WELCOME

Welcome to the Open Compute Project's Open Rack Project.
This project if focused on optimizing all of the infrastructure that IT gear uses for very large scale deployments.
This includes items like:
Physical support structures
-Racks
-Shelves and adapters
-Cable management
Stable Power delivery
-power distribution system
-battery back-up
-power conversion
This project is focused on solving problems for large scale deployment like:
fast deployment of resources to the data center
efficient upgrade cycles
simple physical and thermal interfaces for the data center
quickly identifying and servicing of failed components
extracting value from components with different lifetimes
