Last week the OCP-Japan Community hosted a fantastic quarterly meet up in Tokyo. It was attended by over 100 people and was held at the Microsoft office in Shinagawa - with representatives from all over Japan. Adopters, suppliers. solution providers, data center operators and engineers from many different companies came together to listen, share and collaborate on OCP solutions.
A great line up of sessions was presented from OCP members including MiTAC, CTC, Microsoft and OCP-Japan participants like NTT. Foundation team members Bill Carter (CTO), Archna Haylock (Community Director) and Steve Helvie (VP of Channel) also shared an update on the latest happenings within the global OCP Community. This was followed by a happy hour allowing members to networking and socialize. The topics discussed included data center efficiency, cooling solutions and benefits of OCP solutions.
Special thanks to Kaoru Yamaguchi (OCP Japan Lead), Arai Tomoko (CTC) and Microsoft for their efforts in organising and hosting this great event. The next meet up will be in October 2018 and will be posted on the OCP Upcoming Events page in the coming months as details solidify. Please contact Archna Haylock to find out more about how to get involved in OCP worldwide.
OCP will be hosting its Regional Summit in Amsterdam on October 1-2. For more information on that event, please visit https://www.opencompute.org/summit/regional-summit-2018
