OCP announces today the addition of Anurag Handa of Intel to its Board of Directors.
February 22, 2022 - The Open Compute Project Foundation (OCP) is excited to announce that Anurag Handa, Vice President in Intel’s Data Center and AI Business Unit and General Manager of the Hyperscale and Strategic Customers Group, will now serve as Intel’s representative on its board of directors. Rebecca Weekly, who recently left Intel, will retain the position of chairperson of the Open Compute Project.
Mr. Handa’s team is responsible for the design-in of Intel’s hardware and software solutions with Hyperscale Cloud and Strategic customers. Prior to this role, he served as General Manager of the Cloud Custom Solution Division where he led custom silicon development efforts for key cloud service providers. Anurag was also a founding member of Intel Custom Foundry. He joined Intel in 1997 as a senior component design engineer. During his 20-plus year career at Intel, he has held various business and engineering leadership positions.
Anurag holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Kurukshetra, India, a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, and a master’s of business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
