One of the areas that has grown the most consistently in OCP over the years is open networking. The rise of software defined networking (SDN) and disaggregation has been a catalyst specifically among telcos.
In this episode I speak with DCConnect, an OCP Community member headquartered in Hong Kong. They offer a fully meshed architecture SDN network fabric based on OCP hardware with more than 120 PoP’s (point of presence) in China and growing rapidly across APAC.
Joining me is Jonathan Leung, Head of R&D, and Michael Rascoe, Head of Solutions. They discuss their move from legacy, proprietary networking toward open networking. It’s a great example of how this fast growing APAC organization is embracing open source and open networking.
